ABALAMBAN is a nonprofit voluntary civil society organizationworking for the empowerment of the most marginalised ultra-poor people mainly with ethnic minority and Dalit community in Rangpur division with reputation. It has been running 04 projects for improving the human rights and livelihoods improvement throughcomprehensive rural development projects in three districts i.e. Gaibandha, Dinajpur and Rangpur. There are many ongoing activities but it has been felt that all these developmental activities are destined to be marginal if some basic problems of this neglected peoples are not addressed, such as – mainstreaming ofthe self-excluded and secluded ethnic minority community, Eviction  and land grabbing of ethnic minority people, ensuring basic needs  and rights of ethnic minority, Dalit and Horizon people, establishingdignity of Horizon and Dalit community in public sphere and sensitizing the mainstream people towards the causes.

From our long experience of around 30 years, we strongly feel that traditional mindset among the mainstream people and the duty bearers contribute to further aggravate the situation.   ABALAMBAN has been trying to address these problems with its limited resources & strength but with strong zeal and voluntarism spirit.We have been able to mobilize around BDT. 300,000 for the development of around 20,000 downtrodden people from different sources including DFID via Manusher Jonno Foundation and UNDP Human rights programme until 2021 which is very less than the requirement.

Therefore, we earnestly appeal to different organizations, both national & international, agencies, & individuals, particularly to liberally donate for this noble cause & help the aforesaid ultra-poor neglectedpeople in their struggle for existence with dignity.
